While Bronner typically serves government agencies, Bronner has used its expertise to serve non-profits in a variety of capacities. Based on its knowledge of grants management, Bronner has been engaged by Enterprise Community Partners and Shedd Aquarium. Based on its knowledge of public housing, Bronner has been engaged by MDRC to assist with implementation of two major HUD rent reform studies. Financial Accounting Foundation’s (FAF) utilized Bronner to recruit a government financial statement user for a part-time board member position on the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Bronner has worked with a number of non-profit instrumentalities and affiliates to improve coordination, effectiveness, and accountability. This has included developing business plans to support the creation of new affiliates for MassHousing (MassHousing Foundation), Chicago Housing Authority (Chicago Housing Consulting Services) and Milwaukee Housing Authority (Travaux). Bronner has also been engaged by governments to assist affiliates with strategic plans, including but not limited to, Will County Collaborative, Iowa Council for the Homeless, the Chicago Continuum of Care Chicago Continuum of Care. Audits of affiliated entities include, but are not limited to, Chicago Coalition of Homeless, Chicago State University Foundation, Northern Illinois University Alumni Association, and State University of New York Research Foundation.
